Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapy is the application and adaptation of yoga practices to alleviate physical and mental health conditions with the view of promoting physical, energetic, mental & emotional health.
As yoga therapists we value 1:1 relationships and achievable transformation, we align the unique health needs and interests of each client with bespoke yoga practices based on a centuries-old yoga tradition combined with medical science.
Sessions may include breathing techniques, postures, chant, meditation, relaxation techniques, or the promotion of behavioural changes.
TKV Desikachar the root teacher of the approach we have studied and trained in said:
Yoga therapy is a self-empowering process, where the care-seeker, with the help of the Yoga therapist, implements a personalised and evolving Yoga practice, that not only addresses the illness in a multi-dimensional manner, but also aims to alleviate his/her suffering in a progressive, non-invasive and complementary manner.
Both Zoƫ and Gary have trained extensively as yoga therapists with Paul Harvey and are registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
